Hey Parrot Heads!
We're planning our 28th Birthday Bash and we need your help organizing another great party for our charities. With that in mind, we're having our first committee meeting on Sunday, Jan. 21st at NOON (an hour earlier than previously stated, due to the playoff games!) the Casey Key Resort! We will have an area either poolside or outside at Chef Rolf's (details to come as we get closer), where we can have a casual meeting, some food and drinks, and soak up the atmosphere!
The agenda (the first hour or so) will cover the overall theme, registration, hotel rooms and public areas, musical lineup, fundraising, games, sponsorships, decorations, donations, policies and rules, security, and more. If you have a particular skill set in these areas, whether professionally or as a hobby or just something you always wanted to learn about, we urge you to come to the meeting and see where you can best help.
Afterward, we'll do a "round table" and give everyone an opportunity to speak.
We're holding elections in May for the board of directors - we have many open Director seats, and the terms of President and Secretary are ending. This is a great time to find out exactly what it takes to run a club, and how your voice could help shape this organization for years to come. There are no silly questions, suggestions or ideas. Bring an open mind and we'll be an open book!
This meeting is open to members in good standing who want to make a positive impact here. PLEASE RSVP!
